Premiere And After Effects: Smarter, Faster, And More Creative

Adobe’s latest video suite release focuses on automation, precision, and flexibility. Key highlights include:

  • Object Selection and Masking: A new AI-powered tool that accelerates rotoscoping and complex subject tracking, allowing editors to focus on creative direction rather than tedious frame-by-frame tasks.
  • Shape Masks: Redesigned tools offering greater control for effects like blurring faces, relighting, or enhancing specific areas within a frame.
  • Stock Panel: An integrated Adobe Stock experience within Premiere, giving users access to over 52 million clips without leaving the app.
  • Firefly Boards Integration: Real-time collaboration between ideation and editing environments.

Meanwhile, After Effects receives one of its biggest overhauls yet, introducing:

  • Native 3D Parametric Meshes for easy 3D design and lighting adjustments.
  • 1,300+ Free Substance 3D Materials for hyper-realistic texture work.
  • Variable Font Animation for dynamic titles and templates.
  • Enhanced Vector Workflows that preserve full Illustrator fidelity when importing SVGs.

These features are designed to accelerate post-production, reduce time-to-edit, and open new creative possibilities for filmmakers and motion designers.

Empowering Storytellers Through The Adobe Film & TV Fund

In addition to product innovation, Adobe announced a renewed commitment to nurturing emerging talent through an additional $10 million investment in its Film & TV Fund, doubling its total support to $20 million since 2024.

The fund offers filmmakers access to grants, professional-grade tools, mentorship, and career development opportunities, with a focus on supporting underrepresented creators. Adobe is partnering with organizations such as Rideback RISE, Group Effort Initiative, Gold House, and Dimz Inc. to expand its reach and impact.

The company is also launching a new direct grant program for creators experimenting with AI in film, along with initiatives like Ignite Day in collaboration with the Sundance Institute, which gives aspiring storytellers aged 18–25 the chance to learn from industry professionals and explore new creative paths.

These updates mark another milestone in Adobe’s vision to combine AI and human creativity across its ecosystem. By integrating Firefly with Premiere and After Effects, Adobe aims to make video editing faster, more intuitive, and accessible to a broader audience.
