Landmark Group Transforms Ecomm Distribution Center in Kuwait with Addverb's Innovative Automation Solution

KUWAIT CITY , Kuwait , Feb. 5, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Landmark Group, a leading retail and e-commerce conglomerate in the GCC, has established a strategic partnership with Addverb , a global leader in robotics and automation solutions, to modernize its center distribution in Kuwait .

With an established legacy, Landmark Group has pioneered consumer experiences in the Middle East and North Africa, India and Southeast Asia.

The integration of Addverb's cutting-edge automation into the group's Kuwait fulfillment center not only improves operational efficiency but also reinforces Landmark Group's position as an industry leader dedicated to delivering unparalleled customer satisfaction through continuous innovation and strategic partnerships. The distribution center now has an innovative automation solution, including a fleet of Zippy, Addverb's robotic sorters, with a system throughput of up to 1,000 sorts per hour. Additionally, the center uses Quadron, Addverb's carton shuttles, each with a throughput of up to 100 cartons per hour.

In this innovative collaboration, the order fulfillment process begins with careful classification of items into bulky and non-bulky. An automated conveyor belt is then used to transfer the non-bulky items, sort them using the Zippy system, and move them to the packaging station. In addition, mechanisms are defined in the system to integrate bulky and non-bulky items at packaging stations.
