Built In Launches AI-Powered Job Search Experience With Match Mode + Job Application Tracker
By PR Newswire

New Features Deliver Smarter Discovery, More Clarity — and Better Hires for Employers
CHICAGO, May 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Built In, the AI-powered recruiting platform for tech professionals, today unveiled two powerful new tools designed to make job seeking more intuitive: Match Mode, an AI-powered job discovery experience, and the Built In Application Tracker, a visual job management system that puts candidates in control of their entire journey.
These features deliver a personalized, tech-focused job search experience, addressing common frustrations like endless scrolling, application uncertainty, and disorganized tracking.
"Job seekers today are navigating a complex and crowded market, often without clear direction or the right tools for success," said Maria Christopoulos Katris, Founder and CEO of Built In. "Our newest features aim to solve this challenge by delivering personalization and clarity to the job-seeking experience, improving outcomes for both candidates and hiring companies."
Match Mode is AI-powered job discovery that delivers curated opportunities based on preferences, experience, and behavior. It's swipe-based, mobile-friendly, and completely free to use. Key features include preference-based matching, AI curated job summaries, and a learning algorithm that learns preference on every swipe, save or skip.
But the standout feature is "Am I a Good Fit?", a new feature powered by resume-matching intelligence. It helps candidates quickly assess job matches by showing strengths, uncertainties, and growth potential in their resume relative to the job. This gives users a quick, data-driven snapshot of how well they align with a role — helping them decide whether to apply or move on.
Complementing Match Mode is the Job Application Tracker, a comprehensive, mobile-friendly workspace that helps candidates track saved roles, submitted applications, and interview progress in one place.
Users can toggle between a Kanban or List view to see job cards that include key info — company, title, activity date — for better organization and follow-up. And jobs applied to directly on Built In are automatically added to the tracker.
"When job seekers have better tools, hiring companies benefit, too," added Katris. "More informed, engaged candidates lead to better hiring outcomes. Match Mode and the Application Tracker are designed to serve both sides of the marketplace — empowering professionals while helping companies connect with the right talent faster."
Built In's smarter tools bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, helping candidates make confident decisions while enabling employers to attract the right talent.
