Anika Systems Invests In Unanet ERP Govcon

Growing technology services firm upgrades to Unanet to streamline and expand business operations
DULLES, Va., March 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Unanet, the leading provider of project-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) for the government contracting (GovCon) industry, today announced that Anika Systems has selected Unanet ERP GovCon to replace its existing off-the-shelf software. The switch to Unanet will allow Anika Systems to more easily manage its financials through efficient reporting and empowering employees to contribute to the company's growth.
"One of our company's goals is to constantly improve automation and efficiencies with our customers and with our own operations," said Gregory Schaub, chief financial officer at Anika Systems. "Unanet is the right fit to do that for our business because the system is so intuitive, easy to use, and we can tailor it to what we need now and in the future. The software will accommodate our growth in various ways without requiring us to make lots of costly upgrades or implementations."
Based in Leesburg, Va., Anika Systems is an 8(a) business that focuses on providing automation, artificial intelligence, application development, IT modernization, and cloud engineering expertise to federal customers, such as the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Internal Revenue Service, and the U.S. National Science Foundation. With employees in 30 states, Anika Systems has experienced rapid growth in the last few years and is investing in a variety of resources, including technology, to expand its operations to manage a wider variety of federal contracts.
In reviewing their tech stack, Anika Systems determined that its existing ERP software was not sophisticated enough to handle GovCon work and that it needed a modern solution to manage its intricate financial needs. Schaub told the company's other senior leaders about his previous positive experience working. He also noted how other Northern Virginia CFOs in his network chose Unanet for its agile financial capabilities. He worked with his team to review and compare Unanet with another purpose-built GovCon ERP solution.
Schaub and his team decisively chose Unanet ERP GovCon for its insightful, out-of-the-box reports that can be easily customized and allow users to drill down for additional details. Unanet's real-time dashboards will enable project managers to drive strategic decisions and improve Anika's ability to easily onboard new contracts. All these features will create many time-saving efficiencies and were key deciding factors for Anika Systems.
Anika Systems is currently implementing Unanet ERP GovCon and is looking forward to reducing the company's invoicing and book closure time this year. Already seeing efficiencies from implementation, Anika Systems is considering Unanet CRM and Unanet ProposalAI to modernize its new business development.
Today, more than 2,000 GovCons depend on Unanet ERP GovCon and Unanet CRM to provide them with the right mix of functionality, accessibility, and scalability, backed by support that users consistently rate best in its class.
