Launch of the ST Edge AI Suite which accelerates the development of products incorporating AI using STMicroelectronics technologies

A new starting point for all embedded AI projects that brings together tools, software and resources in one place, giving developers a smoother and faster experience.

Geneva, Switzerland, June 20, 2024 — STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM) , a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the full spectrum of electronics applications, today announces the availability of the ST Edge AI Suite , a comprehensive set of software and knowledge tools designed to simplify and accelerate the development of applications incorporating artificial intelligence.

The ST Edge AI Suite is a comprehensive collection of software tools designed to facilitate the development and deployment of embedded artificial intelligence applications. It supports both optimization and deployment of machine learning algorithms, from data collection to final deployment on hardware, streamlining the workflow for different types of users.

The tools in this suite cover a wide range of ST products, from smart sensors to microcontrollers and microprocessors, including the upcoming STM32N6 microcontrollers with a neural processing accelerator.

Compatible with multiple hardware platforms, the ST Edge AI Suite meets the needs of different types of users such as data scientists , embedded software developers and hardware system engineers.

Access to online tools such as the ST Edge AI “model zoo” and the “Developer Cloud” environment is very easy, as is the use of desktop tools for data adjustment ( data tuning ) and optimization of models on the chosen hardware platform. These tools include the NanoEdge AI Studio solution for automatically generating machine learning libraries, as well as the STM32Cube.AI, MEMS Studio and Stellar Studio solutions, for optimizing models on STM32 components, MEMS inertial sensors and Stellar family processors. All are available for free.

The release of this suite is also an opportunity to present new innovations for AI applications in the MEMS Studio tool: “the neural network model optimizer for intelligent sensors (ISPU)” and “automatic selection characteristics and filters for sensors integrating a machine learning core (MLC)”.
