Growth Acceleration Partners Announces Intent to Acquire the Application Migration Business Unit of Mobilize.Net

Application Modernization of Legacy Technology Complements GAP’s Transformation Advisory Services

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP), a strategic technology solutions partner, announces it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Application Migration Business Unit of Mobilize.Net — a software company based in Bellevue, Washington. Mobilize.Net is the global leader in automated modernization tools and services aimed at legacy Windows and Java applications.

GAP’s acquisition of Mobilize.Net’s Application Migration Business Unit comprises employees, intellectual property and products that include: Visual Basic Upgrade Companion (VBUC) and WebMAP for Web Forms, Winforms, PowerBuilder, Silverlight and Microsoft Access. Additionally, GAP is acquiring specialized transformation and code analysis tools for Informix 4GL, Unisys Linc, J2EE and Java.

GAP’s consulting services create modernization roadmaps for customers and help them navigate from design to delivery. The acquisition of Moblize.Net’s automated migration technology increases the time to value of those projects compared to other approaches.

Closing of the acquisition is subject to the receipt of required regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. The acquisition will expand GAP’s professional services footprint in and around San Jose, Costa Rica.
