What Is Method?
Methods are like petting a cat. They're great, fun, easy, and make you feel good! Manners are like the little helpers that come along with a class. They're small and efficient, making sure that everything is running smoothly. A method is a procedure or function associated with a type. As part of a class, it defines a particular behavior of a class instance. A class can have more than one method. The methods in your code can perform tasks like opening or closing files, retrieving data from databases, and writing out values to screens. Methods are the same as functions but are a little more fun. Methods are the same as functions but are a little more fun. In Java, methods are considered objects, which makes sense when you think that the word "method" has "methodology" in it. When writing a program, much information must be shared between different objects. For example, let's say you have a cookie monster who needs to know how many cookies are in the jar to know how many to eat. The pot has data on how many cookies are in it, and the cookie monster has data on how much energy it has available. If we were to make one big object that contained all of this data, there would be no way for each set of objects to know about each other and no way for each stage of objects to access their data without knowing about all the other groups. So, we use methods instead! Methods are small blocks of code that can only access the data they need, which makes them more secure than keeping everything in one big object. Methods also make it easy for us to reuse code in different objects (like when we create another food monster who also wants to know how many cookies are in the jar).
