What Is Forensic Animation?

If you've ever watched an episode of CSI, you know that forensic animation is a thing and it's pretty cool. Forensic animation is the recreation of crime scenes and scenarios using 3-D graphic tools to help investigators and police solve crimes. Animation is done by experts using high-tech software and actual images of crime scenes from various dimensions. Animators are chosen based on who can produce the best and most appropriate animation work. The process starts with the crime scene itself—whether it's a murder or a robbery or something else entirely—and mapping out where everything was about everything else. Then comes the videography, which entails developing 3-D models of each object involved in the crime scene and turning them into a realistic-looking environment. After that, animators must figure out how people move through space: how they walk, run, jump, and so on so that they can create animations that look realistic while still being able to move freely through a given space without crashing into anything or getting stuck behind objects like cars or desks or whatever else may be involved in their movements around said space at any given time during their day-to-day lives (or night-to-night lives if they live at night). "What's the big deal?" you may wonder at times. We want to solve a crime. Forensic animation is a cutting-edge technique for re-creating historical events. It uses computer visuals to demonstrate what occurred and who was involved. This method has been used when solving robbery, murder and accident cases, but one can also use it to explain how something works. The process involves creating 3D terrains, modeling CG environments with lighting effects and photo-matching techniques, adding animated characters to the scene, rendering photos for your video and adding dimensions so you can see everything from all angles.
