What Is Advertising Network (Ad Network)?
Before making money from your site, you need to get people to visit it. You need to put some pretty sweet ads on it to do that. But where does the money come from? Who pays for those ads? and how do they pay? That's where ad networks come in. They are the middlemen between advertisers and publishers (sites hosting ads). Ad networks handle all the heavy lifting regarding hosting ads and tracking sales. They've got a whole system set up—they know what works and what doesn't, so they can help you make more money with less effort. You'll have to give up some control over how your users experience ads on your site, which could mean less-than-optimal revenue projections or worse—users leaving because they're frustrated by an excessive number of pop-ups!
