From Code To CEO

Peeyoosh began his career as a telecom software engineer at TCS, working on high‑throughput, low‑latency systems so complex that new engineers weren’t allowed to touch the code for 18 months. His work involved building mission‑critical telecom platforms with millions of lines of code, strict regulatory oversight, and long release cycles.

From there, he joined Wipro, winning landmark telecom contracts and moving into global delivery leadership. His journey continued at Persistent Systems, where he scaled APAC and MEA sales, transformed sales velocity programs, and built delivery ecosystems aligned to digital transformation goals.

The Mindset Shift To CEO

Stepping into the CEO role at Hoonartek was more than a title change — it was a mindset shift. Peeyoosh emphasizes that smaller organizations demand greater agility, faster decision‑making, and an ability to lead without the safety nets of big enterprise structures. This requires unlearning habits from large companies and embracing full ownership of decisions from day one.

No Governance, No AI

One of Peeyoosh’s strongest points is simple: “No data governance, no AI.”

For AI to succeed in real‑world enterprise settings, organizations must start with:

Data cataloging — knowing exactly what data exists and where it resides.
Data quality — ensuring clean, compliant, bias‑free datasets.
Compliance readiness — meeting GDPR, PDPB, and other regulatory mandates.
Data lineage — being able to trace and justify every data‑driven decision.

Without these foundations, AI is just hype.
