Parallel Society 2026 is a two-day culture and ideas festival taking place in Lisbon in March 2026, centred around community, creativity, technology, and social imagination. Inspired by grassroots culture and organised under the ethos of collective action, the event combines a DIY music and arts programme with a core “[un]conference” that invites innovators, activists, technologists, and artists to explore topics like community autonomy, privacy, decentralisation, open-source infrastructure, and new ways of organising society for the digital age.
The festival blends workshops, talks, hackspaces, and cultural labs on Day 1 with live performances and cultural showcases on Day 2, featuring both international and local experimental artists across genres like electronic, jazz-influenced sets, and bass culture. It’s an independent, non-profit gathering that emphasises human-first experiences, underground creativity, and a participatory spirit that bridges tech discourse with artistic expression.
